No certification is required to register. CompTIA recommends 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or cloud engineer, plus Network+ and Server+ level knowledge. This isn't an entry-level exam — it assumes real infrastructure experience, which is why the performance-based questions and scenarios reward practical familiarity.

If you researched Cloud+ earlier, note that CV0-003 was replaced by CV0-004 in September 2024.
